Pretty uneventful day today. Our plans to see Savannah didn't pan out due to the rain.
If you are ever driving and see a GPS on the side of the road, don't stop! It is a piece of sh*t.
Had a nice breakfast at Crackle Barrel, had the "healthy" which means no cheesy potatoes. It was still good none the less. We had the pleasure of breaking in a new waiter. Missed the cups by just a little and dribbled the coffee on the table, no biggy. But, when Marty got a refill and asked for cream, the waiter must have thought he was at his last job, the circus as a juggler (I'm sure he was fired), because the creamers went up in the air and came right down in his coffee with a big splash, all over the table, in his eggs and even in his eyes!!
Got checked into a hotel. Picked a good time to come here. We are right on the ocean. This place is an old "motor lodge" probably from the 40's or 50's. The innkeeper is Chuck, he is very very friendly, for awhile I thought he was going to follow us right into the room talking. I'd like to spend some time outside, but everytime we go out he appears! Went to Ruby to organize things and poof there he is. I know more about Chuck now than I do Marty! He is 55, from Jersey, been here 15 years, married a young "girl" and has a new 8 month old daughter. Oh and he doesn't like Obama either. But he did suggest a nice place for dinner. It felt good to walk and the food was really good.
Not much else happening except I miss my dog. I hope Marty is taking good care of him!
Looking forward to spending some time with Barbara and Bob tomorrow. I'm hoping Bob will take me to the casino while Marty and Barbara shop!
Good Night and Happy Valentines Day!
Sounds like you're having a great time so far. Candace's mom is smiling so I guess you didn't surprise her too badly. That's good. Love the mirrored headboard, bet you had some fun with that;). We're having rain too but so happy it's not snow. Keep the postings coming, love living vicariously (that was just for you, Marty).
